Our Mission

The Harrisburg Community Library is a welcoming environment that connects the community to enriching informational, educational, recreational, and entertainment resources.

New Hours Starting 2026

Starting in January 2026, we will be closing an hour earlier on Fridays and opening an hour earlier on Saturdays! Our new hours will be:

Monday – Thursday: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Personalized Reading Recommendations

Try our HCL Personalized Reading Recommendations service!  We want to help you find your next great read.  Fill out the form, and one of our librarians will email you back with 3 recommendations of books we have in our collection.  Happy reading!

New Material and Interlibrary Loan Request Forms

If we do not currently have an item in our collection, current cardholders can place a request for the library to get New Material or an Interlibrary Loan.  Interlibrary Loan allows library cardholders to borrow materials from libraries around the country.  Please keep in mind that with both New Materials and Interlibrary Loan it usually takes 1 to 3 weeks to get your items.
